Charioteer Warrior

There are two soldiers on the chariot generally, the figurines on the left side of the chariot and the right side of the chariot, respectively. The figurine on the left side of the chariot wears a long jacket, armor, shin guards and a conical cap on the head. The left hand holds a long weapon such as a spear, a gorilla, a halberd, etc., and the right hand makes the shape of pressing the car. The dress of the right figurine is the same as that of the left figurine, and the posture is the opposite. They are all the main forces of chariot combat.

However, according to the literature, they have some differences in weapon configuration and combat duties. From the weapons found around the remains of the chariot in the terracotta pit, the left and right sides of the chariot in the Qin dynasty were holding long weapons for fighting such as gao and spear and long-distance weapons such as bow and crossbow. This means that the division of labor between the left and right sides of the chariot was not very clear. In the chariot, in addition to the spear handlers and chariot left chariot right figurines, but also the command of the military officials.

The charioteer warriors in this picture were excavated on the south side of Terracotta Pit No. 2, with an average height of 1.82 meters. The same terracotta figurines were also excavated. The three figurines are arranged in a horizontal monogram in the car, with the carter in the middle and the charioteers on both sides. They are wearing long clothes, armor, shin guards and footwear. The figurines have round hair buns. The left foot straddles half a step to the left in a standing position, and the right arm is bent in front as holding a weapon such as a spear. The left arm hangs down, the sleeve is at the elbow, and the palm of the curved palm is downward in the shape of pressing a car. The head is slightly turned to the left to listen to the order. As soon as the order is given, you can leap onto the chariot to the frontier.
